The installation methods of angular contact ball bearings are mainly as follows:
1. Back-to-back installation (the wide end faces of the two bearings are opposite): This installation
The method is suitable for bearing large axial load and impact load. During installation, the contact Angle line of the bearing is diffused along the axis of rotation, which can increase the radial and axial bearing Angle rigidity, so that its deformation resistance can be better. However, it should be noted that due to the small internal clearance of the bearing, the stiffness of the bearing may be increased, thus affecting the life of the bearing.
2. Face to face installation (the narrow end faces of the two bearings are opposite): face is used
When the surface mode is installed, the contact Angle line of the bearing needs to converge in the direction of the rotation axis, and the ground bearing Angle is less rigid. Since the inner ring of the bearing extends out of the outer ring, when the outer ring of the bearing is pressed together, the original clearance of the outer ring is eliminated, and the preload of the bearing can be increased. This method is mainly suitable for bearing small axial load and impact load, and compared with the back-to-back installation of the bearing internal clearance is larger, can reduce the bearing stiffness, improve the bearing life. However, the automatic adjustment of the contact Angle for face to face installation is poor, so more accurate axial positioning and adjustment is required.
3. Installation in series arrangement (wide end faces of the two bearings in one direction):
When installed in series arrangement, the contact Angle line of the bearing is in the same direction and parallel, so that the two bearings can share the working load in the same direction. In order to ensure the axial stability of the installation, two pairs of bearings arranged in series must be installed at both ends of the shaft. In addition, three or more bearings can also be connected in series at the same support, but it can only withstand a single direction of axial load. This installation can improve bearing stiffness and load capacity, while reducing internal friction and heat generation, but requires more precise axial positioning and adjustment to prevent skew or wear.
4. Positioning installation: Fix a ring of angular contact ball bearing on the shaft
The other ring is fixed on the body, and this installation method is suitable for high-speed rotation. It can improve bearing stiffness and accuracy, reduce vibration and noise, but also requires precise positioning and adjustment to avoid wear and heat problems.
