The role of cylindrical roller bearings
Cylindrical roller bearing is a kind of rolling bearing, which is characterized by linear contact between the rolling element and the raceway, and has a large radial bearing capacity. This kind of bearing mainly bears radial load, and the friction between the rolling body and the rim of the ring is small, so it is suitable for high-speed rotation. Cylindrical roller bearings can be divided into two types according to whether the ring has a rib or not, and the inner ring and the outer ring can be separated, which makes the installation and disassembly more convenient.
The internal structure of cylindrical roller bearings adopts rollers arranged in parallel, and there is a spacer or isolation block between the rollers to prevent the tilt of the rollers or friction with each other, so as to effectively prevent the increase of rotating torque. The radial carrying capacity of this bearing is 1.5 to 3 times higher than that of ball bearings of the same size, with good rigidity and impact resistance, especially suitable for short shafts with rigid supports, shafts with axial displacement caused by thermal elongation and machine accessories requiring separate bearings

Installation Instructions
There are two common ways for the correct installation of cylindrical roller bearings: one is cold installation, and the other is hot installation.
1, cold installation:
When installing small bearings that are not too tight, the bearings can be installed into the appropriate position by tapping the sleeve gently through a sleeve and hammering method. When knocking, the effect should be as uniform as possible on the cylindrical roller bearing ring to prevent the bearing from tilting or skewing. Most cylindrical roller bearings are mounted by pressing method. If the inner and outer rings of the cylindrical roller bearing are installed on the shaft and the bearing seat at the same time, it must be ensured that the same pressure is applied to the inner and outer rings at the same time, and the contact surface of the installation tool must be on the same plane.
2, hot installation:
Under normal circumstances, for the installation of larger bearings, it is not possible to heat the bearing or bearing seat, because the greater the force required for installation as the size increases. The temperature difference between the cylindrical roller bearing ring and the shaft or bearing seat required for hot installation mainly depends on the interference amount and the diameter of the bearing fit. Open bearing heating temperature shall not exceed 120°C. It is not recommended to heat cylindrical roller bearings with seals and dust caps above 80°C (ensure that the temperature does not exceed the temperature allowed by the seals and grease). When heating cylindrical roller bearings, it is necessary to heat evenly, and there must be no local overheating.
